主讲人简介：

Gary McCulloch，英国著名教育史研究专家，首任西蒙教育史讲座教授（2003至今），原英国教育史学会主席（2005-2007），原国际知名刊物History of Education主编（1996-2003），原英国高等教育基金委员会科研评估小组专家（1996-2008）；现任英国教育研究会（BERA）主席（2017-2019），英国教育权威刊物British Journal of Educational Studies主编，国际教育史常务会议（International Standing Conference for the History of Education）核心成员，英国社会科学院院士、皇家人文科学学会会员、皇家历史学会会员。1980年毕业于剑桥大学基督学院，先后获得历史学学士、硕士和博士学位。出版了The Struggle for the History of Education，Historical Research in Educational Settings，Documentary Research in Education, History and the Social Sciences，Education, History, and Social Change: The Legacy of Brian Simon，The Politics of Professionalism: Teachers and the Curriculum等著作22部（其中独著10部、合著6部，主编6部），在British Journal of Educational Studies，British Educational Research Journal，Oxford Review of Education，History of Education等学术刊物和书刊发表论文80余篇。
